CAREER JUMPSTART
Cyber Security Analyst Project provides youth with a supportive environment to obtain in-demand skills within the tech industry and will help match young job seekers with the skills and connections needed to fill this in-demand field, while also providing resources and strategies to support the mental health of young workers. It is free for the learners (and they will receive a stipend to support their time in program).

It is a 13 week paid training program in partnership with IBM, for youth self-identifying with mental health concerns or barriers (this is not limited to a formal diagnosis) who are interested in facilitated training through the IBM cybersecurity analyst certificate.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be 29 years of age or under (exceptions available for learners self-identifying with a disability)
- Must have completed post-secondary education
- Must NOT currently be full-time employed, enrolled in education or other training
- Must have an interest in cybersecurity or tech as a career path and ideally have some foundational knowledge in tech/computers
- Must have ability to commit to a 13 week training program (combination in-session facilitated support and self-directed learning) – (September 5th – December 2nd)
- Must self-identify with mental health issues or a desire to receive mental health resources and supports (this could include mental health negatively impacted by the impacts of Covid-19)
- Must reside within the GTA, or reside within Ontario with a willingness to work in the GTA
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Must be a Canadian Citizen, PR, Convention Refugee, Refugee Claimant or have an open work permit valid for at least 1 year from program start date
Priority will be given to participants from communities disproportionately impacted by Covid-19.

This cohort will begin on Sept 5th and applications are now being accepted.
