The CFHK Foundation this week published a 55-page ( https://www.thecfhk.org/post/hostile-ta ... ommunities ) long, extensive report on the challenges Hong Kong's religious communities are facing as the CCP tightens control over the city-state. I hope you have a chance to give it a read.
Tonight, The CFHK Foundation and Hong Kong Watch are co-organizing an event with a panel discussion on Jimmy Lai and religious freedom in Hong Kong, followed by a screening of "The Hong Konger: Jimmy Lai’s Extraordinary Struggle for Freedom." The panel will feature Ambassador Joseph Cella, Committee for Freedom in Hong Kong Foundation’s Frances Hui, and Hong Kong Watch’s Benedict Rogers. We will also serve pizza and drinks before the film.
The event starts at 6:00 pm at Belmont House, which is at 314 Independence Ave S.E. (1 block from the Library of Congress). For those who are interested in attending, please kindly RSVP ( https://forms.gle/be3ccBZcts75wBr77 ) here so that we can prepare accordingly. Thank you very much and I look forward to seeing you soon.
