Oakland Screening — “The Grass is Greener on the Other Side" & Panel discussion 
】Join us for a screening of The Grass is Greener on the Other Side, which delves into the poignant journey of Hong Kong migrants navigating their way through the aftermath of the 2019 protests. As thousands of Hongkongers make the life-altering decision to seek freedom in the UK, the film unravels the complexities of their identity and their struggle to find their place in a new society. Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion with Crystal Wong (director) and Samuel Chan, a PhD student in political theory to explore the film’s connection with topics of diaspora, peoplehood, and immigration.
