MEDICAL ASSISTANT NEEDED

• Podiatry practice seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized full-time Medical Assistant for our
San Leandro and Pleasanton offices


Essential Clinical Functions:

• Maintaining clinic flow
• Rooming patients
• Taking patient history, vitals
• Assisting physicians in minor surgical procedures
• Trimming nails, corns, and calluses
• Physical therapy, Electrical Stimulation, and Ultrasound
• Casting for Ankle Foot Orthotics, Diabetic Shoe fitting
• Dispensing Ankle Foot Orthotics and Diabetic Shoes
• Applying soft casts
• Patient education
• Autoclaving, Sterilization
• Supply inventory, stocking rooms, ordering supplies
• Pulling charts, filling charts and medical records


Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid California driver’s license
• Fundamental knowledge in billing, coding. and insurance
• Knowledge in Word, Excel, QuickBooks
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Any previous experience with casting is helpful but not necessary

Will be trained to do casting for Ankle Foot Orthotics
