During the Mid-Autumn Festival - the full moon and the harvest season, there are different traditional cultures across Asia. Hong Kong people will eat moon cakes and light the lanterns.
在中秋節這個滿月、以及農作物豐收的時節，亞洲各地有不同傳統文化，而香港人則會「食月餅，玩燈籠」
。It is believed that moon cakes originated in the Yuan Dynasty, when the people revolted to overthrow the tyranny of the ruling class. Due to the strict search by the officers, the military advisor came up with the idea of spreading the news of the revolt on August 15 in the form of a moon cake hidden note. In the end, the revolution is a success, and moon cakes have since become a traditional Mid-Autumn Festival food.
有傳月餅源自於元朝，人民為了推翻當時元朝統治階級的暴政而起義。由於朝庭官兵搜查嚴密，軍師想出以月餅藏字條的方式發佈於8月15日起義的消息，最後起義成功，月餅自此亦成為中秋傳統食品
