As we gather to celebrate Christmas, let us not forget the struggles faced by activists, including myself, in the fight for justice. A one-million-dollar bounty on my head is a stark reminder of the risks we take.

The cases of individuals like Jimmy Lai highlight the harsh realities endured by those standing for democracy in Hong Kong. Their sacrifices should compel us to reflect on the true meaning of this season.

As we exchange gifts and share warmth, let's also share stories of hope. Remember those who can't join our celebrations—separated from loved ones or imprisoned for their beliefs. Let the joy we experience today be a source of strength to continue the fight for justice.
